A warm west country welcome to the website of The Victoria Field Social Club in Somerset. We hope you enjoy your visit.
The Victoria Club as it is generally known, is situated on land to the east of Leigh Road, directly behind Hindhayes School. The land was deeded to the Victoria Field Charity on a 999 year lease for the purpose of providing sports and social facilities for the residents of Street and its environs.
Sporting facilities include cricket, indoor and outdoor bowls, an outdoor 5-a-side football area, squash courts (including an exhibition court), tennis, rounders and soccer.
The social area comprises two bars, a pool table, skittle alley and a large function room, available for club and private functions. Activities include bridge, bingo, the pigeon club, mother and toddler groups and Weight Watchers.
Each affiliated section has its own committee and provides a representative to join with trustees on the overall management committee.
It should be noted that membership of the Social Club is a pre requisite to joining any sports section.
